Conversion Rate Optimizer Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Conversion Rate Optimizer app for Shopify (the “App”), made by Cracktab (“we,” “us”), collects when a merchant installs it, how we use it, and how it is deleted.
Conversion Rate Optimizer adds blocks such as upsells, countdown timers, stock indicators and trust badges to your theme, and reports how each block performs. It counts widget views and clicks; it does not ask shoppers for names, emails or addresses.
1. Information We Collect
Store information
- Your store's domain and basic store details
- The access token Shopify issues when you install the app, and the email of the staff member who installed it
- Your app settings and preferences
Product and store content
- Product titles, prices, images, variants and inventory levels, used by upsell, cross-sell and stock blocks
- The settings of each block you add in the theme editor
Widget analytics
- Widget events from your storefront: which block was shown or clicked, on which page, and when
- Order totals for orders linked to a block, to report conversions and revenue per block
2. How We Use It
We use this information only to run the App for you:
- Show the right products, timers and stock levels in your blocks
- Report impressions, clicks, conversions and revenue per block in the app
- Troubleshoot problems you report to us
We do not sell your data or your customers' data, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Who We Share It With
We share data only with the services the App needs to work:
- Shopify: reading products and orders, and serving the blocks through theme app extensions.
- Cloud hosting and database providers: running the app and storing its data.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
4. How Long We Keep It
- Your data is kept while the app is installed.
- When you uninstall, Shopify asks us to erase your store's data and we delete it, including the analytics.
5. Your Rights
You can change or delete your settings in the App at any time, and uninstalling the App removes your store's data as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, the CCPA or other laws to access, correct, export or delete your information. Email privacy@cracktab.com and we will respond within 30 days.
We handle Shopify's required privacy requests (customer data requests, customer deletion and store deletion) for this App.
6. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with access controls on our hosting providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. International Transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
8. Children
The App is for merchants and is not intended for anyone under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we change how the App handles data, we will update this page and its date. For significant changes we will also tell you in the App or by email.
